2019 Specialized S-Works Epic FS Review

01-02-2019  Max Suttie   Reviews  Bikes

If you like to go fast, like really fast and love your bike bling then the S-Works Epic FS could be for you. There is the small issue of the £8750 price tag, but in all fairness this is a superbike and it certainly rides like one.

Vittoria Barzo Review

16-01-2019  Luke Kendall   Reviews  Tyres

Overall, we've been fairly impressed with the Barzo, and it's performed really well for us throughout the Great British winter so far. If you're looking for something with a bit more grip for technical trails or wet conditions, then the Barzo is definitely worth a try. Just be mindful of your frame clearance if conditions are claggy!

Vittoria Mezcal 29er tyre review a solid 5 star

Original post: We've been lucky enough for the 2 months to be testing the Vittoria Mezcal 29 at our local summer series soggy bottom at Newnham park, Dartmoor National park and summer Sunday spins to the cafe with the other half. Installing the tyre was pretty uneventful, with the...

The Specialized ERA Carbon Comp is an awesome piece of women’s specific kit. Specialized have done an excellent job making a high spec women’s racing machine. With its low stand over height, rear shock brain technology and FACT9m carbon frame this women’s bike packs a lot of features into a...

KTM Scarp 29er

02-06-2017  Ross Wildman   Reviews

Back in 2015 I was riding a KTM Aera 29er HT built up from the frame but as my focus was drawn to longer marathon and solo endurance events, coupled with being rear-ended in my car moving over to a short travel XC orientated full suspension bike made a lot of sense. Being a brand ambassador for...

Specialized Sworks Epic WC is the second Race focus review we've received from Sam Humphreys, He's piloted the bike to multiple wins already this season! Words By Sam. My love affair with the epic started way back in 2003 when I took delivery of my very first Sworks bike……back when everyone...

I saw the call from UKXCnews for reviews of owners bikes. I have my own Blog so I thought lets colour these guys page up a bit with something a little left field. I have been riding Travers frames for a few years now first with a Rudy 29 and now this RussTi which is a development of the...

TREK FUEL EX 9.7 Review ‘Always go bigger’

I would not be writing this review if it wasn’t firstly for my crazy boyfriend and his generosity and, to Cotswold Cycles for helping him track down this beauty of a bike! This was our first Christmas together and in the morning Phil and I opened our presents. I thought I had done quite well...

Wickens and Soderstrom No5 Review

10-09-2016  Ross Wildman   Reviews

I've been searching for an alternative to Mucoff since the end of 2015 after myself and a few team mates from Complete Cycle Works went to Afan forest for a day of trail riding and some fun after a long year of training and racing, after building the bikes I realised that my chain was dry with...

Austrian-Alps.com, base for summer & winter activities

28-06-2016  Scott Cornish   Reviews

On the recent trip out to Austria for the Alpentour Trophy, we came across this  gem of a place to stay; Austrian-alps.com, deep in the heart of some amazing riding and skiing areas, just 60 minutes south east of Salzburg, in the Pongau area. Its lesser known status means smaller crowds and...
