Last weekend XC racing returned to Betteshanger Country Park, near Deal in Kent for the first time in two years. A great turnout of 45 riders enjoyed a bone dry 5.7km course and warm weather at the first round last Sunday.

Brothers Simon and Martin Dickinson of organisers Cyclebubble Cycle Events have three further events planned in June, July and August with the emphasis firmly on fun and family. These are homemade local events with the winners taking homemade trophies and all riders enjoying post-race flapjacks and smoothie shots. Local shops also donated prizes for a rider number raffle.
