After a nasty shoulder injury in the final round of the 2015 UCI XC World Cup (Val di Sole) took a little of the shine off what was a great season for Bouttell, the Suffolk rider is now looking to kickstart his 2016 campaign with new colours and some quick new kit.

Ipswich based Elmy Cycles have handed Bouttell what could be the perfect tool for the job with the rather rapid looking Bianchi Methanol SL, smothered in plenty of SRAM lovely-ness. I grabbed a few words with Bouttell after his first ride on the new rig and he was obviously very impressed with the Bianchi.
"...just back from first ride on it and she shifts!"
Onto the matter of racing and it looks like we won't have to wait to long to see Bouttell flying in his new Elmy Cycles colours, as Jason went on to say, "First race on the new bike will be the (Cyprus) Sunshine Cup next week followed by a few time trials before the first NPS. (I'm) looking forward to the British XC Series with that and the National Champs being my main focus for the year."

So with the 2016 season fast approaching I'm sure Jason and Elmy cycles, along with the rest of us, will be chomping at the bit for the first race of the new XC campaign to roll around.
