From the ashes of last years successful multi-disciplined MuleBar - Sigma Sports racing comes a new, reinventing women's team, going by the name of 'The Cannondale Girls'.

After the sad demise of the MuleBar team at the end of last year, news of the emergence of 'The Cannondale Girls' has been warmly welcome around the cycling fraternity.

The line up of this new team is also sure to have fans and fellow racers eager to see the new season get underway. With a top line up of Women's XC talent, in the form of Maxine Filby, Adel Tyson-Bloor, Natalie Creswick, Di Lee, Phoebe Sneddon and last years MTBO World Cup winner Emily Benham, The Cannondale Girls are sure to grace both domestic and international podiums this year.

We managed to grab a few words from team rider Maxine Filby, as she gave us a quick insight into the teams plans for 2016.

"Myself, Adel, Nat and Emily will be doing the British XC Series and the National Champs. Adel and I are doing the Cyprus Sunshine Cup and I’m back doing the World Cup Series. Emily, Nat and Adel will be doing the World Championship MTBO as well as World Cup MTBO. We’ll also be doing some Enduro and DH as well as National Series Road racing. We’ll be riding the Cannondale FSI and Jekyll. Most of all we’ll be having fun on the trails!"
