It's been announced this morning that Ben Thomas of Mountain Trax - Vauxhall will be looking to piloting the Turner Czar to XCM success in 2016.
In a statement on the teams Facebook page, Thomas said, "From first contact with Turner Bikes founder David Turner there was an immediate interest and understanding between us. David understood the demands of racing and issues of finding sponsorship following his own time as a professional racer. David has the motivation and product needed to support Mountain Trax – Vauxhall Cycling."
Thomas goes on to say, "Turner’s Czar continues the brands track record of producing national-championship winning race bikes with a feel of refinement and effortless handling. Although designed as a XC race / marathon bike, the Czar also chews up fast, twisty single track. The versatile nature of the Czar is capable of taking on more demanding trails than typical XC race courses offer. This design philosophy is perfect for the hard mountain terrain I’ll encounter this year whilst racing the UCI World Marathon Series and UCI stage races. I’m looking for a bike that can offer a performance advantage and reliability; the Czar is not just the ideal bike but a dream bike."
As well as Turner Bikes the team has also announced the additional sponsorship of Selev (helmets and eyewear), Mountain Hardwear (technical leisurewear) and USE Components. These sponsors join Mountain Trax, Vauxhall, Rotor Components, Yellow Jersey Cycle Insurance, Kalas Sportswear, Vermont Images, USN, Weldtite, Northwave, Schwalbe, Lezyne and Exposure Lights.
