On the 13th March, in conjunction with Welsh Cycling and Clwb Beicio Mynydd Dyffryn, round 1 of the Welsh XC series hits Llandegla trail centre, and it sounds like everyone taking to the start line is in for a rather special course!
We asked the organisers just what was in store for those partaking in Round 1 of the Welsh XC Series, and they had this to say...
"We have a new 5km loop, with shorter routes for kids. The long route comprises a mix of single track, closed paths and short sections of forest road. It manages to avoid almost all the permanent trails and includes about 700m of brand new trail which has had a big thumbs up from those that have had a look."

They went onto say, "As well as a great course Llandegla is also blessed by great facilities, including a first class cafe and shop. This weekend kicks off the 2016 Welsh series with races open to everyone from U8's to Grand Vets. For those wishing to try racing for the first time there are fun races, right up to Elite for the more competitive, so something for everyone."
So with online entries closing on the 10th March, be sure to throw your name into the hat ASAP to avoid missing out on this exciting XC race!
