Burn off the Christmas excess this January with the Frozen Devil

January 4th is a must save date for your diary as the Red Kite Frozen Devil MTB ride heads to the much loved trail centre of Coed Trallwm near Llanwrtyd Wells in Mid-Wales.

This 55km, technical and demanding MTB ride starts and finishes at the warm and friendly Coed Trallwm cafe and will take in some of the area’s most scenic spots including the Irfon valley and Llynn Brianne areas of the wild and beautiful Cambrian Mountains.

neil mud1The route has been designed by ex-national Downhiller Neil Delafield and, as such, features a number of technical challenges from tough downhills to demanding singletrack. However it has been designed to be 100% rideable for all riders with decent bike handling skills and fitness.

Fully supported by professional timing, medical teams and the Red Kite broom wagon, the feed stations are worthy of special mention. As well as a range of products from event sponsors High 5, you will also find home made cakes, flapjacks and Welsh cakes from Llanwrtyd Wells restaurant hot spot, The Drover’s Rest.

Muc-off will be offering wash and lube stations at both the feed stations and the start finish area so there’s no excuses not to look after your bike at the same time as you look after your stomach. The machine and engine needs to be refueled and prepared in perfect harmony after all!
